The Commerce Department reports U S personal income rose 0.6 percent in February, an $11.2 billion gain offsetting January's weak results as higher Social Security taxes weighed on consumer wallets. The rise suggests more money for spending and a potential sustainment of overall economic expansion.
President Carter and top energy aides meet at Camp David to review plans ending price controls on crude oil, a move that could lift inflation with higher gasoline prices and lower thermostats. White House spokesmen offered only that the session was a full scale review of domestic energy and economy policies.

The Israeli cabinet approved the Mideast peace treaty and formed a committee led by Prime Minister Begin to draft Palestinian autonomy in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Arafat warned of a possible oil embargo while US, Egyptian, and Israeli leaders prepared for a Washington signing ceremony.
An eastbound car plunged from the Ohio Turnpike overpass near Gate 6 at 5 25 p m killing 31 year old Dr Seetarama Mattupalli of St Louis and a 2 year old Chicago child Jayhaayaprakasar Konijeti. The doctor’s wife and their 4 year old Missouri daughter were injured as were the child’s Chicago parents. A separate incident on the turnpike near Gate 7 saw a mobile home catch fire and burn with no injuries.
Council will consider an agreement with the Huron Metropolitan Housing Authority to develop low rent housing for needy families. The plan seeks a loan up to 10000 for planning and surveys and caps construction at 50 dwellings.unding under revenue sharing.
A weekend rash of grass and brush fires kept Norwalk Monroeville Wakeman Willard and Greenwich fire crews hopping. Norwalk responded to three alarms including a storage shed blaze at 1266 Schaffer Road and a Wilectric Inc storage room fire caused by welding sparks. Other incidents involved fires near Harold Smith Gibbs Road and two Monroeville grass fires at Dogtown Road and Jackson Street. Damages ranged from minor to about 1500 dollars with no fatalities reported.
