Pleads Innocent In Assault Cases In Common Pleas Court

James Harold Montgomery 20 of Plymouth pleaded not guilty to a minor assault charge in Common Pleas Court. He posted a $2,000 cash bond or $4,000 property bond per sheriff. Monroe Carroll 37, AD 1, also pleaded not guilty to assault and battery and was ordered to a $1,000 cash bond or $2,000 property bond.

Willard Plans Major Street Repair Program

City Manager R Keith Armstrong has review plans from Shaffer Parrett Johnston Lichtenwalter and associates for a wide scale street reconstruction. About three and a half miles on 16 streets will be rebuilt at an estimated 350000 dollars with additional resurfacing near 18000 and slurry seal around 5000. Fire Destroys Bilton Barn on De Russey Road

Floyd Bilton of De Russey Road lost his barn this morning at 8 30 in a blaze that started from heating lamps in the piglet area. Mrs Bilton and a farm helper alerted Townsend and New London fire departments but the structure was a total loss. Penelope Bilton, recovering in Sandusky Memorial Hospital, said the barn stored hay straw grain lumber and farm machinery and that livestock were not harmed. Neighbors aided the response and most equipment except a com bine and a corn planter were saved.
