Medina revival: Townscape guides Norwalk downtown rise
Medina transformed its blighted square by stripping plastic fronts and restoring original architecture. Kim Zarney, a 19 year old designer, founded Townscape and has shown how coordinated merchant effort and new entrances can revive business, with a bank and department store boosting sales. Norwalk peers the plan as a potential model, though past attempts in the city faltered.
