$750000 Award For Lost Legs In Auto Crash
A Cuyahoga County common pleas court jury awarded Richard Alfred 750000 in a 1975 auto accident case in which he lost both legs below the knee. Alfred, now wheelchair bound, planned to study art and photography and said he would have liked to coach soccer before his injury. His medical bills were about 200000.
