Leimbach to Lead Pioneer School as Director
Gale Leimbach, longtime Norwalk elementary principal, resigns to become director of the Pioneer Joint Vocational School in Shelby. Starting July 1, he will serve as second administrator under the superintendent with a principal-plus title. Leimbach, Berlin Heights native, holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees and teaches both elementary and secondary certification with a vocational agriculture certificate. He previously taught vocational agriculture in Jeromesville for five years. He and his wife have a son and twin daughters and reside at 208 West Main Street.

Westmoreland confirms two month old plan to withdraw Khe Sanh Marines

Norwalk Plans First Head Start Style Program This Summer

Huron County voters will consider a $200000 bond on the November ballot to build and equip a training school for mentally retarded children and a sheltered workshop for older youths. A 55 percent approval is required for passage, with the issue set for 20 years.

Greenwich Man Pinned In Car After Culvert Crash
Charles L. Hawkins 34 suffered facial and body cuts bruises and a foot injury after his car left Old State Road six miles south of Norwalk and struck a culvert. Rescue squad freed him after 20 minutes then he was transported to Fisher Titus Memorial Hospital. Investigation ongoing.
