County Commissioners Seek Metropolitan Housing Authority
The Huron County commissioners approved a resolution asking the State Board of Housing to create a metropolitan housing authority for part of Huron County. New London and Willard filed resolutions asking for its establishment and hearings are expected to determine need. If formed, a housing board and director would oversee municipal requests for federal aid or local housing consultation. The New London and Willard areas would be included, though the authority cannot cross county boundaries.

Brakes Fail Crash Injures NL Family In Ohio 60 Intersection
A New London couple and their 19 month old son were admitted to Fisher Titus Hospital after their car collided with a Wakeman car on Ohio 60. The brakes were defective, causing the sedan to roll into the intersection and injure all four Boyd children and their parents. The Nichols vehicle sustained damage. several Boyd children were treated and released. Aaron Boyd received a broken collarbone and other injuries, Lillie Belle Boyd a possible fractured hip, and the infant a broken leg and scalp laceration. Aaron Boyd was cited for failure to yield.
