Woman Sues Kroger Over Bee Sting In Store

Mrs Mildred Senger of Wickliffe files a $100000 suit against Kroger Co of Salon accusing the chain of unsafe display practices after a cardboard box of toilet paper stinged her. She says two boxes were on display inviting customers to reach in and grab rolls and Kroger failed to exercise care for her safety.

Ohio Legislature Passes Swift $10.6 Billion Budget Plan

The Ohio General Assembly quickly approved a $10.6 billion general appropriations bill sending it to Governor Rhodes. The measure includes modest spending increases and no new taxes after Senate approval of a revised version. An alarm sounded around 2 a.m. and again at the police station. Owner A B Mann says the loss is likely only a few hundred dollars and the amount stolen is not yet known.

Monroeville intensifies curfew enforcement after juvenile crimes

Monroeville police will strictly enforce an 11 PM curfew and cite parents in court if needed. Suspects include two juveniles in a string of crimes: a deliberately set fire at Vanson's Restaurant, a break in at Monroeville Fire House, and a theft at Tyler's Department Store involving cash and merchandise.
