Norwalk faces rising malpractice costs across the industry with doctors insurers and patients feeling the impact. Clinic premiums soared many percent over a decade and visits rose accordingly while hospital payouts for malpractice more than doubled. Administrators note patients bear higher medical bills as policies climb.
Three malpractice lawsuits allege surgeon Dr. Russell R. Fisher and Fisher-Titus Memorial Hospital involved in negligent surgeries. Complaints seek damages up to 575000. other suits claim misrepresentation by insurer Aetna and patient death from alleged negligence. Also noted are Ohio lottery results and miscellaneous “Luck Buck” numbers.
