Police respond to three accidental burglar alarms this week in Norwalk. A bank alarm at the southside Citizens National Bank triggered a patrol car just before noon, marking the third false alarm of the week. The Revco Store in downtown Norwalk also reported two accidental alarms.
In St Louis clerk Frank Boland plans to remove 29 cuspidors during adjournment while the board meets. In Hue Vietnam Communist guerrillas attacked with mortar fire near the city, drawing attention from U.S. Marines and causing jitters in the university city.
Hundreds of Arab students marched on the U.S. embassy in Moscow while thousands of Soviet troops and police concentred around the mission to shield it. In Washington, PMA and other large drug firms faced potential subpoenas as Senate investigators probe prescription drug pricing amid a second round of hearings by the small business monopoly subcommittee.
A warm wet period is indicated in Ohio for the S days starting Saturday morning with above normal temperatures and almost daily showers. Daytime highs will run in the lower 80s in the north and upper 80s in the south, with overnight lows in the lower 60s north and middle to upper 60s south.

Norwalk youths may gain summer jobs through a new program and the Erie County Neighborhood Youth Corps could extend to Norwalk. Earl Lover chairs a bureau to match teens with part and full time work while a six member committee will contact employers. Erie Huron County Anti Poverty Director Emer son E Cole noted 25 of 75 Erie slots unfilled and an application to Norwalk filed with the Labor Department. Release requires Norwalk Board of Education approval for eligibility to extend to ages 14-21. The Erie County program runs through October offering 75 jobs during school and summer.
The report claims Israel launched a full scale invasion of Syria with planes tanks artillery and infantry along the Syrian front. Syria demands urgent UN Security Council action and warns of responsibility for criminal aggression as fighting continues.
Both sides accuse each other of large scale attacks near the Sea of Galilee. Israel says Syrian artillery hit Israeli villages while Syria claims 13 Israeli tanks were destroyed and three Israeli planes downed after a wholesale Israeli attack.
Tony Zuppe, longtime Norwalk social studies teacher and football coach, resigns to become job coordinator at Lake County Joint Vocational School in Painesville Ohio. He will start July 1 and will work with high school students balancing classes and work half days.
Linn Sheldon will be master of ceremonies for the 1967 Miss Huron County Pageant. The pageant is set for June 24 at 8 p.m. in the Norwalk High School Auditorium. Sheldon, known as Barnaby on Channel 3, is a Norwalk native and longtime TV presenter.
Nor walk Post of the State Highway Patrol reported a six-pig fatality in Huron County on Thursday night. Larry A. Herner 25 of rural Monroeville drove east on State 162 and struck a flock of pigs near the Willard Golf Course killing one son and five pigs. His 1967 model car was moderately damaged. Pigs owned by Ellis D. Klingelsmith of rural Willard.
Three young men Richard C. Bowers Ronald W. Carter and Daniel E. Thomas pled guilty in Mayor's Court to attempting to steal parts from a car in the Downtown Dodge lot. They were fined 25 dollars and ordered to pay court costs. Bowers Carter and Thomas were arrested after police arrived at 12 35 this morning.
Norwalk Fourth of July program mixes pioneer era acts with demonstrations of flintlock musket archery tomahawk throwing and fast draw. A square dance in costume and a horse show are planned with 63 entries representing 900 people for the parade led by James Anderson entries due June 19.
