Massive derailment kills one, injures six in Ohio freight crash

A Penn Central derailment near Salem Ohio killed Richard Radzevich, 29, of Braddock Pennsylvania, and injured five others as three trains collided. Damages near $1 million were reported. Police described the scene as chaotic and said two westbound trains and one eastbound train were involved.

U S Wins Arms Deal Of The Century In Belgium Vote

Belgium chose the General Dynamics F16 over the Mirage F1F for its air force ordering 102 VF16s to replace 116 F104s. The deal could total about $20 billion and pave the way for the Netherlands Denmark Norway and Belgium to buy 334 YF16s in an early stage. A Senate subcommittee cited allegations of payments to promote the Cobra contender.

Nowalk Theater Presents Huckleberry Finn Screening

The movie musical Huckleberry Finn will be shown today and Sunday at 2 and 8 p.m. at the Towne and Country Regional Art Center. A Sunday reception honors R. Reports from Hong Kong's South China Morning Post claim Patty Hearst, daughter of Randolph Hearst, is hiding in Asia and considering surrender. The Post says she altered her appearance after plastic surgery and previously stayed in Kowloon and Bangkok, while three men alleged to work for the Los Angeles Times tracked her to a discotheque in Hong Kong.
