Local Bicycle Crash Narrows Condition Of Wakeman Boy
An 8 year old Wakeman boy, Frank C Newyear, remained in critical condition at Fisher Titus Memorial Hospital after colliding with a car on Ohio 18. Driver Jesse B Oglesby of Akron reported veering left to avoid the bicycle on the berm, and the youth was treated at a nearby house before aid arrived.

City Won't Pay for Car Damage From Curbstone Incident
Elmer Jaeckin, 58, lost a small-claims suit against the city of Norwalk after his car struck a protruding East Seminary curbstone last December 6. Judge Robert Wiedemann found contributory negligence and recovery barred under Ohio law. Jaeckin said his repair estimates ranged from 98 to 127 dollars and noted the curb had been repaired.
