Burglars Hit Downtown Stores In Two-Night Break-In Spree
Burglars struck K H Drug Co at 38 40 E Main St during the night taking more than 200 dollars in cash plus a camera radios and wrist watches. Two cash registers were smashed. A&P at 38 W Main St was entered but nothing appeared missing. Woolworth at 22 24 E Main St and two second floor offices at 31 E Main St were also entered over the weekend. Entry came via second floor windows and basement routes. Police notified at 7 52 am and owner Edward Prack reported drug supplies undisturbed.

Hur on County Board of Health approves housing code readings
The board approved the first reading of a revised housing code to set minimum sanitation standards and floor space.
