Court Rejects Newpauer Move
William Newpauer's bid to credit 1964 Lima State Hospital time toward his Mansfield Reformatory sentence failed Tuesday. Judge Robert J. Vetter refused to vacate the sentence, saying any parole-board request must come from the board. Newpauer, 24, had been convicted in 1964 of threatening former Huron County Juvenile Court Judge Don J. Young after Young denied him permission to marry a county girl. He received a one to three year term.
