Huron County commissioners held a budget hearing Thursday with no attendees. The proposed 1979 budget totals 7.7 million dollars, an eight percent increase, and must be in the county auditor's hands by July 20 with final adoption by July 17 for January 1979 appropriation.
Thirty boys and girls will compete in the Mansfield Area Soap Box Derby beginning at 1 30 p m Sunday on Trimble Road. Division winners advance to the All American Derby in Akron on August 12. County officials hold welfare workshop in Findlay with Ohio DPW staff training on social services in state supervised and county administered systems.
