Horseback Lady Traps Rabbits On Way Home
Jeannine Hall, 44, of Watsonville California travels by horseback across the United States to Maine and back to California. She hunts for meals and shoots pool to earn money, relying on road signs and instinct. Hall plans to reach the Black Hills for winter then resume the trek by motorcycle on a future trip.

Unknown donors aid NL man in kidney transplant
The William Grosscup family in New London received a kidney donor and a $30 gift from an unknown woman after Bill Grosscup contracted acute kidney failure in February. The donor act followed a late Friday drive to Cleveland Clinic for surgery with Hank Tappel arriving at their home to intervene. Bill Grosscup is recovering in a semi private room with a lengthy recovery ahead.

Ohio ADC payments rise to 67.5 percent standard
Kenneth B. Creasy, director of the Ohio Department of Public Welfare, said July ADC grants rise with family size. The legislature increased the ADC payment standard in the supplemental appropriations bill passed last week. Effective July 1 Ohio pays 67.5 percent of the 100 percent standard for essentials.

Health Board May Review Nitrate Levels in Water
The Huron County Board of Health will further consider joining a state financed study of nitrate levels in Ohio water sources. Polly Zimmerman from the sanitation department noted the state would pay $15 per sample from a non community source. The board postponed a decision and urged the state to run multiple tests per sample to save time and money.
