Milan Youth Drowns After Park Lake Race
A 16 year old Milan boy David Gordon Beare drowned Saturday afternoon at Nickle Plate Park in Huron during a swimming race with a friend from Milan. Friends formed a chain to drag the lake after Beare was reported missing and his body was recovered about 20 minutes later. He was active in Milan High School sports and clubs and survived by his mother, brother, and grandparents. Funeral services were held at Rawle Funeral Home in Milan.

Hospitable Cop Opens Home To Tired Motorist
Norwalk Patrolman Richard Striker gave a red light citation to a Parma family after a long outing at Holiday Lakes.
