Foreman leads the defense for seven individuals and four companies facing trial Monday on charges of shipping obscene material from Los Angeles and Sandusky to Houston.

Paul W. Phillips of Milan posted bond after a Monday night run in with four accidents at the Huron County fair grounds. He pleaded innocent to leaving the scene and driving without an operator's license at a Tuesday hearing in Huron County Common Pleas Court. Bond was $2,000 cash or $4,000 property for hit-skip and $500 cash or $1,000 property for the license charge.
Greenwich police report 55 year old Frank Robson of 29 Tilton Street was killed at 2 45 a m when struck by an eastbound New York Central train at the Main Street crossing on U S 224 Greenwich He was thrown 75 feet and died crossing the tracks There were no witnesses and engineer Donald Thornton and conductor Arthur Olah are named He survived by a wife four daughters three sons and seven grandchildren with arrangements at Myers Funeral Home continuing.
Milan farmer Larry P. Livengood petitions Huron County Common Pleas Court to stop the State Highway Department from driving pilings to block his Route 601 driveway. He says a private driveway permit was issued for 91 acres in 1966 and claims due process was violated. officials say a commercial permit was required and a residential permit was voided as erroneous.
The Teamsters Union approved covering 1,006,500 in legal expenses for James R. Hoffa and other union officials facing federal prosecutions. The decision, funded from union treasury, passed by voice vote with only Larry Thomas dissenting. The resolution also allows future expenditures.
A Minnesota family of three sustained bumps and bruises after a one car crash on the Ohio Turnpike east of the Sandusky Norwalk interchange during rain at 7 52 am. Eric Petermann 3 was treated and released at Fisher Titus Memorial Hospital. The parents were injured but not treated. No citations were issued.
City manager Keith Armstrong told council members that the cemetery caretaker hired from Oberlin quit earlier Tuesday. A letter from Port Clinton’s Mrs. Melvin C. Taylor criticized cemetery conditions for Memorial Day. Mayor Stearns criticized the manager over the cemetery and pool issues.
A thief took four to five dollars from a vending machine at Dave's Sohio at 102 East Main Street during the night. Police were called at 8 10 this morning. No signs of forced entry suggested a key access.
