Willard Hospital Sues Couple For $115127 In Bills

Willard Area Hospital filed a $115,127 lawsuit in Huron County Common Pleas Court against Wilbur Salyer and as guardian for his wife Marie to collect June 29 1976 through Jan 8 1979 hospital bills tied to Mrs Salyers brain damage after elective surgery. Blue Cross paid about $8,800. The case follows a prior $639,858 jury verdict for the Salyers in the same court from a separate action.

Bucyrus Schools to Close Feb 12 Through March 2

Bucyrus Ohio public schools will shut between February 12 and March 2 to show voters the district faces a 150000 dollar deficit. A March 1 special election will consider an 8.3 mill levy expected to raise 600000 dollars annually. School board member Tom Holt shouse called the closure the best option among poor choices.

Hart Firing Unjustified Board Declines Comment

White vows to sue over zoning ruling on three family plans

Robert White seeks a permit to convert 1 E. League St into three apartments. The Board of Zoning Appeals denied his conditional use request 4-0, in a second refusal, prompting White to vow an appeal in Common Pleas Court. The property sits in R-2. three-family housing needs a conditional use permit unless facing a highway and a 10,000 square foot lot. White had earlier been denied for insufficient lot size. he then altered the site by adding land to form an L shape, with parking planned in the new section. Thirty-five nearby property owners were notified, eight opposed.
