Laetrile pills pose poisoning risk to children
The New England Journal of Medicine warns tablets containing Laetrile are common in homes and can be deadly if ingested by children. An 11 month old Buffalo girl reportedly swallowed up to five pills and died from cyanide poisoning. The FDA counters there is no proven cancer benefit from Laetrile.
