Milan Protest Grows Over Census Count of 1405
Milan Mayor Glenn R. Rockwell plans a protest after the official 1970 census lists 1,405 residents for the village. He notes Erie County portion at 1,297 but the Huron County division shows only 108, sparking village surveys that suggest over 300 in Huron and 211 in the annexed 1969 area. The mayor seeks further review, citing pride in growth and potential grant impacts.
