Kathleen Harris Named Secretary of Huron County Fair Board
Kathleen Harris of North Fairfield was hired as secretary of the Huron County Fair Board at a Monday night meeting. She succeeds Elfreda Crayton of Norwalk who resigned after more than 30 years. Harris is a North Fairfield High School graduate with three children and began duties that night. The board discussed the Ohio Fair Convention in Columbus. Attending were Crayton Harris Ralph Fulton A G Meyer and Ray Feichtner. The 1967 county fair receipts were reported as 21 589.

An 89 year old Willard Claus of Townline Road rode a big jet to Cleveland Hopkins Airport for his first plane trip and Washington visit. Family celebrated at the 4 42 p m return flight as Claus, who uses a cane, enjoyed the view of jets and the tomb of the unknown soldier. He plans another trip perhaps during cherry blossom time.
