Ray Ackerman former Norwalk patrolman now in Hessell Michigan suffered a serious leg injury after slipping on snow tracked into a church. He fell while walking to present a finance committee report at services and broke tendons and muscles. He was admitted to War Memorial Hospital Sault Ste. Marie and expected to remain 10 days to two weeks with 13 to 14 weeks needed for full recovery. Ackerman and his wife Sarah Johnson moved to Hessell four or five years ago to run Ackerman Lumber and Supply Co. They have two young children.
