Man dies after accidental gunshot during domestic dispute

In Madisonville Ohio police say 42 year old Charles Gibson died of a right temple gunshot after his wife said he pressed an empty pistol to his head during an argument. The shooting was ruled accidental.

Lower Voting Age Proposed In Senate

In Columbus the 108th General Assembly opened with Senate and House moves to lower Ohio's voting age to 19 from 21. Senators Collins Guyer Turner and Reps Scherer Cruze filed the bills, with minor openings and expected cross party support. A separate measure would let cities levy up to 2 percent income tax without a special election.

Multiple Crashes In Huron County Slush With Nine Major Jackknifes

Snow caused nine accidents investigated by the Norwalk Post with eight minor weather blamed incidents on the Castalia patrol. A 12:35 p.m. Route 20 crash near Wakeman injured driver Thomas Baldosser 23 of Republic and started a fire in his trailer, later released from hospital after treatment.
