Ohio faces potential deadly tornadoes this year
United Press International reports Ohio could see at least 11 potentially lethal tornadoes based on history. Climatologist Marvin Miller notes the 1971 season began at 4:55 p.m. on Monday February 22 with a tornado near Columbus causing injuries to six people and over 2 million dollars in damage, though no deaths occurred.

Tunnel under Berlin Wall found and sealed
East German authorities uncovered a 393 foot tunnel beneath the Berlin Wall and sealed it on Thursday. The passage led from a ruined East Berlin building to the French sector on Bernauer Strasse and was intended for 17 East Germans to escape to the West. Police noted feverish activity on the eastern side alerted them to the build.

Indicted in Traffic Death Tom Sandvick Faces Homicide Charge
Thomas Sandvick 22 of Norwalk was indicted by the Cuyahoga County Grand Jury on first degree vehicular homicide. He is to be arraigned in Common Pleas Court after a head-on crash on the West Shoreway that killed motorcycle rider Thomas Lutar 25 of Garfield Heights. Sandvick served with the U S Coast Guard on Whiskey Island. He is the son of Mr and Mrs Phillip Sandvick.
