A group of twelve Monroeville women attend a six week Wednesday night flower arranging course at Monroeville High School as part of the adult education program. Instructor Mrs. Powell Holderby, who runs a Plymouth flower shop, leads the class using permanent flowers for practice and real blooms for demonstrations.
Jack E. Brown won the annual speaking award with The Protest On Campus at the Firelands Toastmasters Club. He will represent the club in the Area Speech Contest in late February or early March, after defeating Arnold Elenbaas who spoke on Public Speaking Is Fun.
The meeting of the Business and Professional Women's Club will be held at 6 15 p m Tuesday at the Elks Country Club. It was not held on Wednesday as stated in the Reflector earlier this week.
Huron County Retired Teachers Association hosts a meet your neighbor event at 2 p.m. in Norwalk. Las Vegas Night at Milan Town Hall starts at 8 p.m. FADS Square Dance at Pleasant Street School also at 8 p.m. Bronson Norwalk Conservation Club hosts a dance at 9 p.m. Willard Federation of Women's Club hosts a dance at Willard Elk's Hall at 9 p.m.
One hundred eighty people attended the annual Huron County picnic on February 3 at Aneco Community Hall in Florida. The gathering featured a potluck dinner and social visits among Norwalk, Bellevue, New London, Wakeman, Sandusky and Milan residents including George Lippert and several couples.
