Actress Katy Jurado In Critical Condition After Overdose
Actress Katy Jurado 40 is reported in serious condition after swallowing more than sixty sleeping pills at her West Los Angeles apartment. Police were called after a note implied a suicide attempt. Jurado told her agent she had taken 67 pills and requested fur items be given to her children.

Baby left in cold car sparks foster care concern
A seven month old boy was found in an unheated car outside an Akron restaurant after five hours in 13 to 18 degree weather. The mother Leetta Ridler said she left the child because she could not pay for a babysitter. The infant was taken to a foster home with discolored skin.

The body of Norwalk soldier Specialist Fourth Class Lauren Heydinger killed in Vietnam has been returned to the United States and funeral arrangements are pending. The father Frank Heydinger says details of the action in which he died are unavailable while the escort from Oakland arrives and the family is notified. Heydinger had served in Vietnam since last October and the barber shop he ran on East Main Street remains closed until next Thursday.

Two days of testimony in a Perrysburg chemical dispute concluded in Huron County Common Pleas Court. Master Chemical Co. accuses former employee Robert Dean of Willard of breaching a two year nondisclosure and noncompete agreement and seeking damages while he works for a rival, Ohio Industrial Research Corp. of Canton. Dean now works for the Canton firm, which serves metal cutting and working industries.
