Wakeman Family Injured in U S 20 Crash Near Wakeman
Three members of the Buck family were treated at Oberlin Hospital after a two-vehicle collision on U S 20 east of Wakeman. Albert Buck 76 was driving and the group included Maria Buck 58 and David Buck 4. Buck swerved to avoid a dog and struck Rita Soposlai 38 of rural Wakeman head on. Buck cited for left of center. A separate incident on State Route 162 near Wellington injured Lucille Ward 52 cited for failure to drive on the right. Ward’s car skidded into a northbound vehicle driven by Frank Hamilton 20.

The Berlin Milan Board of Education refused to form a five member citizens committee to pick a site for Edison High School. Board members said they would choose a site themselves citing time constraints and lack of available candidates. The vote was 4 to 1 with Frank Garwood dissenting. The board also approved part funding for a school psychologist team to serve Berlin Milan and Margaretta districts and authorized a second $75 000 advance from county appropriations totaling 1 241 726 for 1968.
