Orange slacks and bobby socks found at a rest stop near Grinnell were identified as Pamela Powers’s outfits. Authorities linked a car found in Davenport to the abduction and issued a warrant for Robert Anthony Williams, 24, an escapee from a Missouri hospital, on a child stealing charge. Pamela, 10, was abducted from a Des Moines YMCA lobby Christmas Eve. Williams, last seen driving a green 1959 car, matched descriptions given by witnesses.
