Teens Hospitalized After Five Day Ski Trip

Child Hospitalized After Key Route Crash In Ohio

Annie Barber a five year old riding in a Norwalk furniture driver’s semi truck was gravely injured. The car driver Roland J Koch thirty four from Wapakoneta died in the collision on US 6 west of Fremont. Investigators say ice and slide caused the jackknife and left the truck in the path of Koch’s vehicle. The incident remains under investigation.

Pinned In Auto In Norwalk Crash Raymond L Ross Critical

Raymond L Ross 98 N Pleasant St was critically injured in a head on crash on Ohio 61 three miles east of Norwalk Elyria Memorial Hospital said he spent a fair night but remains critical. Five members of the Lawrence Ross family were injured and treated at Fisher-Titus Memorial Hospital before being released.

Mechanic pinned by county truck at Huron garage

A county mechanic, Donald L. Baker, 52, was pinned against a workbench by a county truck at the Huron County Highway Garage. He is in critical condition at Fisher-Titus Memorial Hospital with crushed ribs and a dislocated hip. Witness James J. Smith said the truck moved forward instead of backing up. County officials expressed shock at the incident.

Candle Fire Damages Rose Avenue Home

A candle left burning in a bedroom of Shirley Carroll’s home at 13 Rose Ave ignited a couch and spread to the attic. Firemen extinguished the blaze after 10:20 p.m. Eleven firefighters and two engines responded. The fire caused about 2000 dollars in damage and smoke and water damaged the first floor.
