Milan Board to negotiate new contracts with engineers
In a brief council meeting the Board of Public Affairs chose to negotiate with Floyd G. Browne and Associates of Marion and Finkbeiner Pettis and Strout of Toledo. Contracts expire Jan. 17. The EPA cited accomplishments including upgrading electrical lines and adding a new water line. A new emergency water department generator should be in service within a month. Street lights were installed in Milan Manor and bills totaling 9266 were paid. Separately in East Townsend John Nichols received a special award and Scout ring for Den Mothers and Scouts while two Webelos prepared to advance. In Clayton Wisconsin Mrs. Roger Bauer dropped a theft complaint after two coats reappeared with a note claiming they did not fit.
