The Norwalk charter commission pauses for a two week vacation awaiting attorney Eugene Kramer to return final drafts. Next meeting set for 7 30 p m January 4 in mayor s court city hall with January end deadline for charter draft ahead of a May 2 primary vote.
Bobbie Barnett of Willard filed a $115 000 damage suit in Common Pleas Court for injuries from a December 21 1969 crash at old U S 20 and Ohio 61 in Norwalk. Warren A Mc Intyre of Willard is named the defendant. Attorney Warren W Ruggles represents Barnett and a jury trial is requested.
William A. Adams of Greenwich was charged with hit-skip and drunken driving after a collision on U S 224 east of Greenwich. Adams pleaded no contest and received fines of 200 dollars and costs, 3 days in jail, 30 day license suspension, plus 200 dollars and 10 days for the hit-skip. Donald D. Jamison, 42, rural Willard, was injured when his farm truck overturned on Ohio 99 and was treated and released. Kathie L. May, 21, of Huron, complained of injury after a collision on Ohio 113 with Kathie May later charged with failure to yield. Jack Pletcher, 19, rural Uniontown Pa, charged with failure to yield after running a stop sign on U S 250. Ends with classified ad line.
The Data Processing Club of EHOVE Vocational School sponsors a benefit dance from 8 to 12. Proceeds go to a charity chosen by the club. The Raven rock group returns from college campus tour and donates their fee. Open to EHOVE students and home-district students. Club adviser is David Mulica.
