Heart Patients Face Sexual Anxiety Says UW Psychologist
University of Washington psychology professor Dr. Nathaniel Wagner says many heart patients become sexual cripples due to doctors and nurses avoiding the topic. He notes patients fear impotence after heart attacks and wives fear activity could kill their husbands. He urges more open discussion, sex education in medical training, and pamphlets on the subject. Additional note: Airman David A. Coovert graduates basic training at Lackland and heads to Ft. Belvoir for vehicle maintenance training.
