Youth with rifle wound in New London abdomen
A 17 year old boy from New London is in fair condition after a self inflicted rifle wound to the abdomen. He was treated four hours at Fisher-Titus Memorial Hospital after being rushed from a friend’s home at 204 High Street. Police say the youth shot himself with a .22 caliber rifle. he had recently quit school and worked locally before being laid off. The identity of the boy was not released.
