A gasoline tank truck crashed into Crain Avenue Bridge causing a 40 foot span to cave into the Cuyahoga River. A motorist and two pedestrians were rescued. Repair costs pegged at 60 thousand dollars.
City Councilman Michael Fatica and excavating contractor Anthony Cesa were convicted Friday night of soliciting and accepting a bribe connected to a liquor permit transfer.
Jaycox George H. Jaycox of Norwalk was found guilty by a Common Pleas Court jury of taking indecent liberties with a child under 18. Judge Robert Goble ordered observation at Lima State Hospital for up to 60 days. potential indefinite commitment or penitentiary sentencing to follow. Prosecutor Phillip M. White Jr. and lawyer Clifford F. Brown appeared in the case.
