Explosion Kills Widower and Three Sons in Ohio Home

Investigators probing a blast at a two story frame dwelling found widower Robert Allen Church 32 and his sons Robert Duane 13 Michael Allen 8 and Jeffrey Linn 5 dead. Fire started about 3 45 am Sunday after a neighbor alerted Bascom Fire Dept. The weekend’s toll reached 18 fatalities nationwide with the cause still undetermined.

James Francisco Dies at 79 After Norwalk Fire

James W. Francisco 79 of Route 2 Norwalk died early today at Fisher-Titus Memorial Hospital after smoke inhalation from the South Norwalk Road fire that destroyed his home. The postmortem cause of death is not yet complete. He had escaped but returned to search for his 16 month old great grandson who was carried out unharmed. Survived by Grace his wife two sons Forrest and Robert one daughter Irene a brother and four sisters. Services are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Komarek Funeral Home with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
