Lobster farming advances hint at East Coast harvests on West Coast

Wynot High Faces Grim Season With Lopsided Losses

Wynot High School in Wyoming county has endured heavy defeats this season. The 59 enrollment boys team fell 103-21 to an opponent, then 89-21, and 98-29 in earlier games. In the latest contest Wynot narrowly lost to Niobrara 118-4.

Hijacker Shot Dead After Bolivian Plane Refuels

Nixon Dollars Confiscated as Counterfeit-Style Prank Cited

Detroit reports the Secret Service seized about 50 000 spoof Nixon Dollars from Great American Dream Corp. The bills imitate currency with the president’s likeness and the phrases The Inflated States of America and One Frozen Dollar. The Democratic party reportedly swapped one Nixon Dollar for every real donation, but no charges were filed.

County Assigns 800000 in Inactive Funds to Banks

Huron County commissioners chose three banks to handle 800000 in inactive funds for two years. Bids from seven banks, with two county banks retaining 600000. First National Bank Bellevue bid 6.25 on 250000, Union Bank 6.0 on 350000. Wakeman Bank bid 5.76 on 100000 and 6.26 on 200000. Other bids: Norwalk Citizens 5.25 on 200000, Huron County Bank 5.5 on 400000, Plymouth People s 5.0 on 100000, Willard United 5.0 on 100000. Bids take effect December 31.
