A 17 year old Norwalk High student admitted making a bomb scare call that forced evacuation of 950 students. He was arrested at his home Wednesday night after investigation by Norwalk Police and Huron County Sheriff's Department and is to face Juvenile Court.

Prime Minister Indira Gandhi announced that West Pakistan forces surrendered in East Pakistan and a unilateral cease-fire was set on the western front. She cited stopping bloodshed in Kashmir while India reported a tank victory on the Pakistan Kashmir border. Pakistan's President Yahya Khan vowed continued resistance.
