Indian forces press Dacca surrender as cease-fire offered

An Indian military spokesman said Pakistan’s Dacca garrison asked for a cease-fire and India sent surrender terms. Air and artillery bombardment collapsed the 15 000 to 20 000 strong defense and Indian reply ordered all forces in Bangla Desh to cease fire and surrender.
