Operator saves Clarksfield family with emergency call
In Wakeman Ohio supervisor Hazel Geer kept a dying baby line active for about an hour after Ruth Meade of Clarksfield called for help. Geer then coordinated responders and Billie Harp retrieved the mother and children from the house. The Meade family, Rocky age 3 and Sandra age 2, were treated and released from hospital. Geer, an operator for 20 years, noted supervisors stay with emergencies until completion.
