Two Lose Jobs Over Closing Of Airport

Cleveland mayor Dennis Kucinich ousted Ports Director Andrew Putka and appointed secretary Mary Vodicka as acting ports director. Vodicka suspended Airports Commissioner Gunther Katzmar as charges are considered. A management team will assist while a new commissioner is sought after the airport closed for about 45 hours following heavy snow. The shakeup stems from the breakdown in airport operations blamed on the two officials.

Woman charged with murder after tossing infant from window

Chicago police say Airlana Lawrence 26 threw her 3 month old Wendy from a three story window. Wendy died at St Bernard Hospital. Jerry Campbell 26 was her common law husband. police arrested Lawrence in the apartment. A separate note says a volleyball league will resume tonight after weather cancellation.

Tennessee Governor Blanton Under Fire for Learjet Jamaica Trip

Tennessee governor Ray Blanton faced criticism for using a state Learjet to Jamaica for a five day trip described as both pleasure and a trade mission to promote soybean exports.
