Suspect Nabbed in Two City Burglaries
Gary F. Stanley 31 of Sandusky was arrested after a weekend safe cracking at Reineck Brothers and a prior burglary at Model Cleaners. About $582 plus beer was stolen from Whittlesey Avenue. Bond set at 10 000 cash or 20 000 property. Stanley faced charges in Common Pleas Court and denied both allegations. He was held in Huron County jail with related Virginia case pending. A gun and burglary tools were found in his car during the probe.

Phone Employees Accept Wage Pact Amid Strike Fear
Northern Ohio Telephone Co union Local 986 members voted overwhelmingly to accept a company wage offer after a day of bargaining. The contract raises range from 10 to 17 cents an hour for plant workers and from 1.44 to 1.91 dollars for operators, with additional increases tied to a new minimum wage law. Retroactive to November 27, 1965, the three year pact expires in November 1968, and talks for the next contract will begin about 60 days before expiration.

Reward Offered Over School Theft At Western Reserve High
A $100 reward was posted by Mr and Mrs J J Van Dootingh for information about the theft of $1,000 from Western Reserve High School Friday night. Deputies found a broken window Sunday but no other missing items. Doors at Hartland Bronson and Fitchville schools were unlocked with Hartland entered Friday night.

Hunter Killed While Helping Dog On Tracks Near New London
Curtis Hargrove a 69 year old hunter from Cleveland was killed near New London when an Akron Canton and Youngstown freight train struck him as he tried to move his dog off the tracks. He died of head injuries after the 11 10 a m incident. His hunting partner William Boldware, also of Cleveland, was nearby but unaware of the collision until the train stopped. Deputy reports indicate the track was elevated and the two men may have split up. Hargrove is survived by his wife Ellen. Funeral arrangements are pending.
