The Reflector sponsors a Christmas Around The World coloring contest for children 12 and under excluding Reflector staff, with three age groups 1-5 6-7 and 8-12. Entries due by 4 p.m. December 18. prizes 5 3 and 2 dollars plus crayons and paints for first place.
Burglars broke into Fitchville and Hartland Elementary after hours Thursday. About two dollars in change and a bottle of chocolate milk were taken, with windows forced and doors pried. Deputies note a possible wire entry and question links to a prior $1,000 theft at Western Reserve School. Rewards total 110 dollars for tips, with new donations from Dudley White and others.
Harold Finch spent 67 dollars and 74 cents to win a fourth year as mayor of Norwalk. Charles Zeller of North Fairfield was re elected mayor. Allen Hakes listed 20 dollars in expenditures and Stanley R. Culler 11.10 dollars. All won their bids in the recent elections.
City Auditor Charles Hipp will address the city charter commission Tuesday at 7 30 p m at the Columbia Gas Co. Commission Chairman Domenic Coletta said Hipp and possibly another speaker will discuss their roles in city government.

President Johnson hosts 4 p.m. wedding at the White House for daughter Lynda and Capt. Charles Robb of Milwaukee. The service, by Canon McAllister, precedes a reception and dancing. Robb heads to Vietnam in March as the couple set to honeymoon in Hawaii.
Eighteen percent of the Firelands Branch building at Huron site is finished per Moser Construction Co. of Fremont. The campus project is slated to open in September 1968. Dr James McBride reports no material shortages and progress on basement floors columns and tunnel. COED pledges total about $770,000 of $1.1 million. A commemorative feature with stones and a bronze plaque is planned. A bank rezoning request near the site is being reviewed by authorities.
Thieves forced entry at Western Reserve High School, breaking a west door, a window, and a door to reach a safe. The 18 by 12 inch safe, containing about 848.65 in activity money plus cafeteria funds, was removed from the principal’s office and total losses reached about 1 000. Discovery at 7 25 by James Eckenroad led to Sheriff’s Department investigation.

Willie Earl Robinson also known as Tony Holland was returned to Huron County Jail after their bond on a bad check charge rose from 2000 to 93000. The 43 year old man again pleaded not guilty to intent to defraud by issuing a bad check.
Police say a professional burglary drilled the Reineck Brothers safe on Whittlesey Avenue. About 600 to 700 dollars were taken while an extra 275 dollars remained visible in an envelope. entry was by prying a padlock and a combination lock was drilled.
A Ray Mullins family fire at 11342 N Hester St destroyed most belongings and caused an estimated 7000 in damage. The 18 year old wife worked at Maple City Rubber Co while husband, 22, recovered from an earlier industrial accident. Local relief drives organized by Janesville Mill staff and friends.
