Lawsuit Filed Over Morrell Disaster Sinking

The lone survivor Dennis Hale filed a 150000-dollar suit against Cambria Steamship Co and Bethlehem Steel units in U S District Court Cleveland alleging the ore freighter Morrell was unseaworthy and inadequately equipped. Hale claims 36 hours on a life raft caused permanent damage.

Boy Scout Officials Honored at Toledo Banquet

MONROEVILLE The Catholic Committee on Scouting for the Dioceses of Toledo held its 25th annual appreciation banquet at The Catholic Club in Toledo honoring cubs scouts from Firelands Johnny Appleseed Marion Harding Pat Han Sen Shawnee and Toledo areas. Eight leaders received the St George Award including Nelson V. Lonz Monroeville and F Robert Egna Bellevue. Lonz is the first Monroeville recipient.
