Chinese Tomb Packed With Crossbows and Pottery Army
A 100 B C Chinese historian Ssuma Chien described crossbow booby traps in the tomb of Chin Shih Huang, now partially excavated. Archaeologists report thousands of life size pottery soldiers, horses, chariots, and modeled rivers, palaces, and celestial decorations within the burial complex. China plans a new museum for the finds and a thorough tomb excavation during the 30th anniversary year.
