Norwalk Holds Second Water Fantasia Show at Pool
About 700 attendees watched Norwalk's water show Water Fantasia at the municipal pool Sunday night. Proceeds totaled about 85 dollars, disclosed by co director Patty Arlin. The duck act featured Toni Theisen as mother duck and nine children as ducklings. Over 60 area children performed in the hour long program with clown routines, stunt diving and synchronized diving. The finale formed a peace symbol in the pool.

Safe stolen from Monroeville residence with $800 cash
A rural Monroeville home on Farr Road was burglarized Sunday evening with the rear door forced. The only missing item was a 300 pound safe containing $800 and documents. August Martin reported the theft to the sheriff's department after 11 p.m. Sgt. Lloyd Smith led the investigation.

Captain Demetrios Anthipas of the Heleanna was detained as he tried to depart Italy aboard another Greek ferry.
