Quake Cracks Temples in Bali And Tidal Wave Hits Sumba

An Indian Ocean quake near Bali rattled eastern Indonesia causing temple damage and a reported 82 foot tidal surge on Sumba Island. One man broke his leg amid panic, as Jakarta’s National Geophysical Service placed the epicenter southeast of Bali and measured the quake as over seven on the Richter scale.

Boy Killed In Area Crash Near Huron

A 13 year old boy Terry Vasicek of Cleveland died after a car he rode in was sideswiped on U S 6 about a mile east of Huron. His father Richard and two sisters plus a brother were injured when Warren M Clary 34 of Akron drifted left of center and struck the Vasicek auto, Ohio Highway Patrol reports.
