Priest Announces Tuition Plan At St Marys School

The Rev Thomas Reynolds of St Marys issues letters outlining a tuition option for parents. Total tuition comes to 100 with 25 quarterly or 10 monthly payments. He offers personal loans at 0.5 percent monthly. Book and registration fees range 18 to 55 plus a 1 tax per student to the Toledo Diocese.

Norwalk teachers face a pay freeze under Nixon price controls though contracts started before Aug 15 may still allow increases. Non teaching staff gain 8 to 12 percent. teachers’ raises 4 to 16 percent were approved but not implemented. Base salaries last year ranged from 4,900 to 10,000 with new scales up to 11,200.

Fire units and sheriff deputies contained a crude oil vinyl cyanide fire after two railroad tank cars exploded on an Akron Canton Youngstown freight train.
