Rock concert canceled amid local criticism in Steuben County

Forest Lake Park north of here cancels a planned Saturday rock concert after county and community criticism. The Steuben County Board of Health adopted new permit rules for events drawing 500 plus attendees or lasting over 12 hours, with late stages allowing waivers. Promoters say the event is entirely canceled, though officials say a permit is still required if the concert were to proceed.

Nixon advances tax break plan amid wage price freeze stance

In a wide interview Treasury Secretary Connally said soldiers face no wage price exemptions and Lockheed must pay jet engine duties while Canada may not get import relief. Nixon announced few exceptions to his economic strategy. He also traveled to Grand Teton to seek a tax break for donors of conservation land.
