Konst and Missey named junior fair king and queen
Kim Konst of Bellevue and Matthew Missey of Norwalk were chosen 1979 junior fair king and queen. Konst, a Bellevue High School senior, will represent Huron County at fairs statewide and compete in the Ohio State Fair queen contest next week in Columbus. Missey, an 18 year old Norwalk High graduate, serves as president of the County Junior Leadership Club and handles the fair crop and shop building duties this week. Both will preside at junior fair events and award presentations. First runners up were Elaine McLaine and Randy Kline. second runners up were Jean Knoll and Nick Hahn.

Norwalk Board Approves Executive Estates Plat
The Norwalk Board of Zoning Appeals approved a preliminary plat for the Executive Estates subdivision on 91.9 acres annexed by the city. Maple City Ice Co. purchased the land for 186 single family homes. Ergun Baharoglu and Associates of Norwalk serve as consulting engineers. The board also urged a first reading of an ordinance to permit truck parking in residential zones at the next City Council meeting.
