Bumper Beat: 20-Year-Old Charged After Double Accidents
Theodore W. Thacker, 20, of Chatfield Ohio, was charged early today with hit skip and driving while intoxicated after two crashes 15 minutes apart on Base Line Road near Ohio 598. At 1 15 a m his eastbound pickup crossed the center line and hit a car driven by Michael E. Elliott 18 of Plymouth. Fifteen minutes later he drove off the road hitting two posts before stopping in a ditch.

Health department cancels immunization clinic schedule
The Huron County Health Department canceled the immunization clinic for Wednesday and will offer only tuberculin skin testing from 9 to 11 a.m. at Milan Avenue. The $3 fee applies. Immunizations resume Sept 5 with new hours 1 to 4 and 5 to 7 p.m. Donald Fender Jr. of the Ohio Association of Realtors will speak Thursday at 7 p.m. at Vanson's Restaurant in Monroeville. Fender joined the Realtors in 1963 and specializes in farm and land brokerage with accredited farm and land designation.
